10 of our Favourite LGBTQ+ Music Icons!

If you haven’t already got your summer playlist. We have made a list of or favourite 10 gay music icons, that should help you create something amazing.

Madonna

Everyone should have at least one Madonna song on their playlist, if you haven’t then you need to add at least one now. Some of our favourite songs are; Bitch I’m Madonna, Papa Don’t Preach, Material Girl, Lucky Star and Vogue.

 

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has always been a LGBTQ+ music icon and has so many songs that deserves a spot on your playlist. Here are a few songs that we recommend you add; Born this Way, Bad Romance, Love Game, Judas and Rain on Me.

 

Freddy Mercury

Every playlist needs some classics and Queen is one of the most famous bands in the world. Freddie Mercury is one of the first gay icons in music and here are some Queen songs we recommend you listen too; Fat Bottom Girls, A Kind of Magic, I Want to Break Free, Another One Bites the Dust and Killer Queen.

 

Cher

This next artist is God tier level LGBTQ+ icon and music sensation. Thats right it’s Cher this is why she deserves to be on everyone’s playlist. Here are some of our favourite songs; Gyspy, Tramps and Thieves, If I Could Turn Back Time, Believe, Bang Bang and Take Me Home.

 

Britney Spears

Britney is and will always be an icon and now that she is free it’s time to ramp up the best Britney. Here are some of our favourite Britney songs that you need to download; Circus, I’m a Slave 4 U, Lucky, Opps!…I Did It Again and Work Bitch.

 

Kylie Minogue

Kylie is the Aussie icon and has released songs that are perfect to listen to when the weather gets warmer. Here are some of our favourite Kylie songs to listen to in the summer; Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, Spinning Around, Your Disco Needs You, I Should Be So Lucky and Fever.

 

Katy Perry

She kissed a girl and we loved it! Katy Perry has some absolute bops and just had to make it onto this list of LGBTQ+ music icons and here is some of our favourite songs; I Kissed A Girl, Firework, Waking Up In Vegas, E.T. and Roar.

Mariah Carey

There is no Diva quite like Mariah Carey, I dare you to name a Queen who hasn’t impersonated her. She 100% deserves a spot in our LGBTQ+ hall of fame and here are a few of our favourite songs; Fantasy, Vision of You, One Sweet Day, Emotions and Dreamlover.

 

Beyonce

Beyonce is the icon, which is why it is no surprise that she is on our list. This was a hard one for us, but here are 5 of our favourite Beyonce songs; Run the World, Baby Boy, Drunk In Love, Partition and Single Ladies.

 

Elton John

We couldn’t go breaking your hearts and perhaps we’ve saved the best until last because no LGBTQ+ icon playlist would be complete without Elton John. With his glittery style and iconic glasses he stands out as a true pop legend and everyone has to admit that he has some absolute tunes that no playlist would be complete without. Here are a few of our favourite Elton John songs; Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man, Bennie and The Jets, Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting and Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.

 

This list by no means covers all of our favourite LGBTQ+ music legends but we wanted to give you our top picks. The question is who would you add to this list?
